This dusty mid-tone mauve is the only limited edition lipstick in the range so far. Lay Over again is such a gorgeous shade, and I highly recommend it! Instead, this stays a little shinier than the other shades, so if you like true mattes, this may not be for you (none of these lipsticks are a true matte though, so keep that in mind!). Because this is so creamy, this is the most comfortable so far, however it doesn’t dry to the cream-matte finish promised by Colourpop. Lay Over feels a bit more creamy than previous shades, which may be both a good and bad thing. This medium rosy beige is another great nude! Lay Over is a “my lips but better” shade, with a tinge more brown than my natural lip colour. As mentioned, I tend to not wear peach, however Uno Mas has a definite pink undertone, making it perfect for spring time! I do love this lipstick, and the bonus? It’s super comfy to wear! Compared to Appy, this lipstick is a bit darker and a little heavier on the peach undertones. Uno Mas was another shade I was looking forward to! This warm peachy pink is another fairly light colour, which again is very peachy. Normally I avoid peach, however Appy is more of a soft brown-peach, meaning it’s a thumbs up from me! For deeper skin tones, this will definitely be very light, however some of the lipsticks I discuss later in the post would be a perfect neutral for deeper tones! Appy is smooth, creamy and fairly opaque, only needing a quick second layer to really make the colour stand out! Appy definitely has peachy undertones, however it is not too intense. This was one of the shades I was looking forward to the most, and oh boy was I not disappointed! For my fair skin, this is such a perfect everyday neutral (this will also apply with light and light-medium skin tones!). Part 2 will include the remaining 12 shades, however that won’t be up straight away, as I do have some other exciting content to post first!ĭescribed as a warm pinky beige, Appy is the lightest in my current collection, and second lightest in the current Lux Lipstick line. I will also test the longevity of the shade by eating with the lipstick on to assess the damage. Today’s post will not only include a review on these gorgeous lipsticks, but also lip AND arm swatches of each shade. The shades I purchased and will be reviewing in this post are: Another reason why I wanted to buy half is so I can play around with the formula and get used to wearing bullet lipsticks again, since my Limecrime Unicorn Lipsticks and my Winky Lux lipsticks have remained very untouched! I decided on not getting them all straight away as I thought splitting this review in half would make it easier to read compared to reviewing 25 different lipsticks all in one post. On initial release I purchased 13 shades, which I will talk about a bit more shortly. From memory, Getty was the first to be sold out, which sold out in less than an hour since its release.Įach bullet retails for $7 USD, with 3.5 grams (or 0.12 oz) of product, which is such great value! There are 24 shades available (plus the very limited shade “Pinkies Up”), ranging from neutral everyday colours to bold and extremely fun shades. The vault sold out in minutes, and shades soon followed. Though I’m more of a liquid lipstick girl, I needed to know whether these were worth the hype, and quite frankly, I was very excited! This release (dare I say) is probably the most successful release since the “Yes Please” palette. To say these were highly anticipated would be an understatement! From the moment these beauties were announced, Lux Lipsticks were all over my Instagram feed, and it’s hard not to know why these lipsticks look gorgeous! The packaging is a very on-trend rose gold, with little stars embossed onto the bullet itself. Hi guys! I’m going to be honest this post wasn’t meant to actually happen today, as I was going to review the “Give It To Me Straight” palette, but of course, my parcel has temporarily disappeared (thanks Australia Post!), so it looks like the latest addition to the Colourpop family is this week’s focus!įor those who don’t know, Colourpop recently released traditional bullet lipsticks, called “Lux Lipsticks”.
